Sisters

Hilary wrote this song for two of her friends who were in the midst of marital meltdown.  It was a song that tried hard not to show judgment for choices but rather a curiosity about how those choices had worked out.

While on a holiday in Mexico Hilary and Jenn saw a sign advising tourists to drive with care to protect the wildlife.  The song was then written online by sending the lyrics back and forth.  When the chords were chosen each sister had a different melody that they came up with.  Then when we got together and put our melodies together there was a natural harmony to it all.  We wrote this song with such ease that neither of us remembers whose was what work!

Jennifer wrote this song many years ago, after wondering how differently her life would have turned out if she had been able to advise a younger version of herself.  Knowing her, she probably wouldn’t have listened.
